Obama Arrived at Russia

365LIGA.BLOGSPOT.COM - U.S. President Barack Obama on Thursday (05/09/2013), arrived in the city of St Petersburg, Russia to attend the G20 summit.

Officials said the summit Obama will deliver his argument about the U.S. military plans to attack Syria.

With serious faces, Obama descended the stairs of Air Force One landed at Pulkovo airport, St Petersburg Russian President Vladimir Putin before the opening of the summit.

One Obama aide said, so far there are no plans for a matter of bilateral meetings between Obama and Putin, who differ in their support for Syria.

However, there is a possibility they greet each other on the sidelines of a meeting of leaders of developed countries and developing this.

"The U.S. and Russian officials will continue to discuss the evidence that we have associated claims of chemical weapons attacks by the Assad regime," said deputy national security adviser and strategic communications, Ben Rhodes.

However, Rhodes continued, the U.S. did not want to argue over whether a military attack on syria supposed to happen.

"Not all G20 countries agree with the U.S. measures against Syria, especially if you pay attention to the position of Russia," added Rhodes.

Nevertheless, continued Rhodes, Obama still would explain our current thinking to the allies and partners to explore what kind of political support that can be given related G20 nations Syrian issue.

So far, from the G20 countries only France that is certain to provide support for the U.S. military. However, some other G20 members, including China and Germany have confirmed not to join the U.S. attacking Syria.
